01. Description, rooms, facilities, services and farm products: agriturismo San Felicissimo is a farm holiday bed and breakfast classified as a “4 ears of wheat quality level” in the Umbria region. The farm holiday was born from the restoration of two antique farm houses from the 19th century, and takes its name from St. Felicissimo, bishop of Perugia who became a martyr in 761 near the Roman bridge on the Tiber River. Its proximity to Perugia, Umbria’s capital city – a university town of great historic, artistic interest and a lively cultural centre, makes the bed and breakfast the perfect setting for visiting Umbria’s other art cities such as Assisi, Spello, Gubbio, Todi and Orvieto. It is actually easy to get to Umbria’s main events like Umbria Jazz as well as Perugia’s Eurochocolate, Assisi’s Calendimaggio, the Spoleto Festival, Spello’s Infiorata, and Orvieto’s Umbria Jazz Winter. The bed and breakfast, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and flowers, offers the possibility of splendid nature walks, relaxing in the large swimming pool in a serene atmosphere surrounded by oleanders – typical of the Umbrian countryside. We also have mountain bikes available for our guests, and a series of interesting bike paths.

02. Rooms and facilities: the farm holiday is comprised of two farm houses and has 10 double rooms. The structures are technologically advanced and conform to the EEC regulations, all while respecting the atmosphere of the antique farmhouse, with its arched structures and of the age-old stones. In the warm, welcoming rooms there are floors are in Tuscan terracotta, wooden ceiling beams and antique furniture. All the rooms have a private bath with shower, satellite TV, mini-bar, free Wi-Fi internet, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, and daily cleaning is included in the price. There is a small yet important library available to the guests, complete with brochures, tourist guides and free audio-guides. Breakfast offers genuine farm and local products, and may also be served outdoors.

03. The Farm:  ours is a small family farm of circa 10 hectares under the system of conversion to organic farming, where we cultivate olive trees (frantoio, leccino, and moraiolo varieties) and fruit trees (plum, apricot, cherry, fig, quince and almond), in full respect of natural cycles without the use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides, from which we produce olive oil, fruit and organic marmalades for our guests. Our farm – registered with Coldiretti – is a Campagna Amica (“Country Friendly”) point – an association created to promote the sale of genuine products directly from the producer to the consumer (kilometre 0 products) according to the regulations in force. Our products are genuine and organic, made according to traditional recipes. The direct purchase from the producer, besides guaranteeing the quality of the goods themselves, which reduces industrial sophistication that precede placing the product in wide distribution, allows the consumer to purchase at advantageous prices.
